Christmas

Oh Christmas Tree!

Who remembers giving your parents homemade ornaments for Christmas? Every year right? And every year, no matter what they looked like, your mom would say "this is so beautiful, thank you!" Then every year the collection of ornaments on the tree would grow. Well that's how it went for me anyway. So I found this craft, where else- on Pinterest. It's just three Popsicle sticks painted green, then a brown trunk made from either felt or foam. Then allow the kids to glue the three sticks into a triangle and attach the tree trunk.  Then they can add a string to hang it, and decorate it however they choose to. (Be sure to write their name and the year on the back- parents love that stuff.) You could even add the student's picture in the middle. I would even consider making this into a Christmas math lesson, after all it includes geometry right?

Enjoy!

Show Me the Light

Lights :)

This is a great way to decorate the classroom!  This picture shows taking different colors of paper that is cut out in the shapes of lights. Then students write one letter of their name on each "light" then when they're finished, take black electrical tape and tape them onto the yarn by putting part of the tape on the front then going around the yarn, and attaching the other part of the tape to the back of the light. Then they look like the tops of the lights. In this instance, the class used the glitter glue to write their names, but that's not necessary if markers and crayons are easier and more readily available. What a great project!

Delicious Reindeer!

Reindeer snack for kids! My mom made this cute and easy craft!

This adorable snack is easy to make! Simply buy some variation of chocolate pudding from the store and glue on a red pom pom, some wiggle eyes, and some antlers! I recommend hot glue for these, it tends to hold best. Antlers can also be created with pipe cleaners!

Enjoy!
