I love giving students the opportunity to be creative in the classroom! This project allows them to incorporate art along with their daily lessons. This would integrate well into a science lesson about flowers, or just be a fun spring art project.
Have students paint some green stems and leaves onto a piece of paper, then get some stalks of celery and rubber band them together. Cut the bottom off of the stalks, and use that, as well as the bundle as stamps to create flower shapes!

Enjoy!

Butterfly, Butterfly

This idea is a great way for kids to learn about butterflies and how they eat. They make the headbands out of construction paper, pipe cleaners, and wiggle eyes. Then they get to drink the "nectar" (apple juice) out of the cups with their straw-like mouths. So cute!

Enjoy!
